FAQ
Questions and answers
The most common questions about the data, the method and how this works. If something is missing, write to us — we add to this list.
Where do the reviews come from?
From publicly available venue profiles on review platforms. In this version that means Google; further sources are planned and the data model is ready for them. We do not buy second-hand data and we collect nothing a visitor to the profile could not see.
Do I need access to my business profile?
No. A link to the Google Maps profile or its identifier is enough. We do not ask you to log into your business account and we have no access to it.
How long does the first analysis take?
With a few thousand reviews, from several to a dozen or so minutes, depending on how many of them carry text. Later analyses of the same venue fetch only new reviews and are much faster.
Can the report invent quotes?
It cannot. A quote is stored as a character position inside a specific review, and a separate verification step cuts that fragment from the original and compares it character by character. A fragment missing from the original drops out, together with the card that rested on it.
Do the numbers in the report come from the language model?
None of them. Complaint counts, dates, percentages and averages are results of database queries. The model receives counted data and names the problem — it does not count, and it does not see the numbers while writing.
What does a "growing" problem mean?
That its share among reviews from a period is rising, not that the raw complaint count is. If we counted absolute numbers, everything would grow in any expanding venue — and the word "growing" would mean nothing.
Are reviews without text counted?
For statistics yes, for conclusions no. About half of Google reviews are a star and not a single word. Averages and rating distribution come from all of them; problem cards only from reviews with text — and the report says so plainly.
How many reviews does a venue need?
A meaningful analysis starts at roughly a hundred reviews with text. Below that we say so before running the analysis, instead of producing a report that looks serious without being serious.
Can I share a report with someone outside the team?
Yes, with a link that works without logging in and that you can switch off at any time. The link carries a long random token — it cannot be guessed or found in a search engine, because it is excluded in robots.txt.
Is my company data isolated from other customers?
Yes, on two independent layers. A database filter decides what a user can see at all, and a separate permission layer decides what they may do. Every panel route has an automatic isolation test — without it the build fails.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes, from account settings. Deletion has a fourteen-day grace period during which it can be undone. You can also download all of your data as a ZIP archive.
What languages does Mutterbox work in?
The interface and reports are available in Polish and English. We analyse reviews regardless of the language they were written in — you choose the report language when starting an analysis.
