Company
Who is behind this
Mutterbox is not a startup with a funding round. It is a tool built by someone who has to answer for it to the customer face to face.
Where this product came from
From a conversation that kept repeating. A venue owner shows a few hundred reviews and asks what to do with them. "Read them and draw conclusions" is true and useless, because at a few hundred reviews nobody will. The tools we checked at the time produced a word cloud or a mood chart — that is, something from which not a single task followed.
One person answers for quality
There is no team here that could blame another team. If a report contains a quote that is not in the original, that is a specific error by a specific person — which is why quote verification is a separate layer rather than a line in a prompt.
The product pays for itself
There is no investor to show growth to. So there is no reason to push features nobody asked for, or to make cancelling difficult.
Over a decade around small businesses
Earlier products from the same company are systems for firms employing from a handful to several hundred people. Same audience as here, and the same rule: the tool has to work without an implementation consultant.
Step by step
How we work with early customers
-
1
A conversation before onboarding
Twenty minutes on your reviews, not on samples. If it becomes clear the product will not help you, I will say so — cheaper for both of us than a trial month.
-
2
Onboarding in a day
Connecting venues, setting categories for the industry and running the first analysis. For a chain, add the split into companies and team roles.
-
3
The first report together
We go through it jointly: where the task order came from, what each number means and which tasks are worth taking first.
-
4
Direct contact
No support department and no ticketing system. You email and the person who built the feature you are asking about replies.
In practice
What we built before
Szymon Mojsak Studio has been building tools for small and mid-sized businesses for over a decade. Earlier products include time-tracking systems and training platforms, used by firms employing from a handful to several hundred people. The same audience as here and the same rule: it has to work without an implementation consultant.
since 2012
building software for companies without an IT department. Mutterbox is another product from the same company, not a first project.
Why it works this way
What our quality rests on
Three things we do differently from the norm in this field. Quotes are checked character by character against the original — by a separate layer, not by a line in a prompt. A problem card needs at least three independent reviews, so a one-off incident never reaches the task list. Review collection runs without selection, in line with platform policy and consumer rules, because only that kind of data can be counted afterwards.
Common questions
Who operates the service?
Szymon Mojsak Studio, a sole trader based in Dąbcze near Leszno, Poland. Full registration details are in the terms and on every invoice.
Does my customers' data leave the EU?
Servers are in the European Union. For classifying text we use a language model from a provider outside the EU, and that is described in the privacy policy together with the transfer basis.
What happens to my data if you close the company?
The terms provide for a notice period and an export of all data in a format that opens without our software. That is not a statement of good intent but a feature available in the panel from day one.
